The big literary event in Clarke County will be the upcoming visit from Atlanta by Joe Beck, author of MY FATHER AND ATTICUS FINCH. He will meet with Clarke’s book club on September 26 at the home of Steve and Annell Gordon. Gather at 6:00 for conversation and food. Joe Beck’s discussion of the book will begin at 7:00. Driving directions to the Gordon home from the Clarke County Museum: start out going west on West Cobb Street. Cross US 43, turn right onto Mount Zion Road. Go about three miles to the unpaved King Institute Road and turn left. The Gordon home is on the right. You’ll see cars in the front. If you miss the King Institute Road and get to the Mt. Zion Church, you’ve gone a little too far. Turn around and go back to King Institute Road on the right. Annell is preparing food and seating. Call Annell at 251 275 3353 or Jim at 251 275 2244 to say you’re coming. Share...
